Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, in partnership with Pepper Entertainment and Mammoth Live, are proud to announce its second annual Concert for Conservation, featuring Muscadine Bloodline LIVE at Uptown Theater on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Kansas City. Sponsored by Leinenkugel’s, onX Hunt, and Purina ProPlan, the concert kicks off weekend festivities ahead of National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic at the Kansas City Convention Center. All concert proceeds will benefit the upland conservation mission of The Habitat Organization.
For nearly a decade, Mobile-bred duo Muscadine Bloodline has delivered a soulful and potent form of country music, indelibly colored by their Alabama heritage. Their latest release, The Coastal Plain, was hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of the strongest country albums of 2024,” and stands as the duo’s most authentic project to date. Drawing deeply from their personal histories, they craft narratives reminiscent of the people and landscapes of their southern Alabama upbringing. Across the album’s 14 tracks, Muscadine Bloodline blends classic country, roots and gospel influences, creating a rich tapestry of storytelling and musical heritage.
Dedicated to the outdoors, Hook & Barrel Magazine styles Muscadine Bloodline’s approach to music as “similar to their hunting and conservation efforts; low key, grassroots and quiet dedication.” Stanton grew up as a turkey hunter enjoying his time outdoors with friends and family. He also had the privilege of being a hunt mentor to bandmate Muncaster. The duo now participates in spring and fall traditions of hunting and conservation, including time spent in the uplands.
“We’re excited to be a part of the Concert for Conservation in Kansas City in support of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s habitat mission,” stated Muscadine Bloodline. “Music and the outdoors are deeply intertwined in our lives and supporting upland habitat conservation is important and close to our hearts.”
PF & QF’s first-ever Concert for Conservation was held on February 29, 2024, in Sioux Falls, SD and featured Trampled by Turtles. That show generated more than $100,000 for the organization’s wildlife habitat mission.
