In the biggest event in European indoor archery, Easton shooters racked up every single medal once again as the World Indoor season rushes towards its highlight in Las Vegas next month.
For over 25 years the Nimes European Indoor has been the centerpiece of the European continent’s indoor season, attracting archery stars from across the globe, and this year was no exception.
Of the 12 medals awarded, Team Easton shooters from Colombia, the USA, Brazil, Israel, and Mexico found themselves on the podium with winners from a number of European nations, all with one thing in common- Easton arrows in their quivers.
“Mister Perfect” Mike Schloesser of the Netherlands added to his long list of Nîmes victories with yet another Men’s Compound gold medal victory in the venue where he first earned his nickname over eight years ago, in a battle with USA and fellow Team Easton shooter Jimmy Lutz. French star Nico Girard took the bronze.
On the women’s side, Alejandra Usquiano of Colombia overcame fellow Team Easton competitor Andrea Becerra of Mexico for the gold, with Luxembourg’s Mariya Shkolna winning third place.
In men’s recurve, the international Gold Medal podium debut of Easton shooter Roy Dror of Israel delivered a win against Team Easton veteran and multiple Nîmes champion Steve Willer of Netherlands, with Brazil’s #1 in the world ranked Marcus D’Almeida taking the bronze.
Women’s recurve delivered an all European, all Easton podium with Elia Canales of Spain on the top step of the podium, with German stars Charlene Schwarz and Michelle Kroppen in second and third.
With the unforgiving, dime-sized ten ring used in World Archery events, every compound competitor on the podium chose the surgical precision of the Easton X23 arrow shaft, while the recurve shooters chose the Easton X23, the RX7, and the X10 for their wins.
Next stop on the world circuit will be the 54th Vegas Shoot, in Las Vegas USA- the world’s biggest archery event.
