This latest product from BVT was designed by shooters, for shooters, using the best materials and design technology to make a no-nonsense product that does exactly what it is intended to do – beat the bite of your rifle’s recoil.

The Bear Valley Tactical Viper Muzzle Brake is made from tough 416 stainless steel. That steel is then given an Armor Black Cerakote finish that is durable and tough to take years of use, and countless rounds. The Viper weighs just 10.6 ounces, so you will hardly notice it on your rifle, but it has enough weight to help further reduce the effects of recoil. That small amount of added weight, combined with the directional porting redirects gases from the shot to the sides of the barrel. This redirection means that felt recoil is greatly reduced. By how much you ask? On the 6.5 Creedmoor, recoil is reduced by 75% and on the 6.8 Western by 65%. That’s impressive, and Bear Valley Tactical is continuing to test on other calibers.

The Viper’s dimensions are a length of 2.8 inches, a width of 1.7 inches, and a height of 1.4 inches. That means the Viper is compact, yet big enough to take down what you feel on your shoulder. It comes in three bore-size options – .344, .295, and .250. The .344 bore diameter can be used with all .30 caliber cartridges, like a .308, .30-06, and more.

The .295 bore diameter can be used with all popular calibers in the 6.8mm or similar range. Contact Bear Valley Tactical if you would like a 7mm diameter, too. The .250 bore diameter is for 5.56mm or .223 calibers, and smaller.

The Bear Valley Tactical Viper comes in two options for mounting, for the industry standard threaded barrels – 5/8-24 and 1/2-28. It also comes with a Jam nut in either 5/8-24 or 1/2-28. The Jam nut is also made in-house and follows the same strict manufacturing standards Bear Valley Tactical uses on everything it makes.
