Richard Childress Racing and Austin Dillon will bring the No. 3 Huk Chevrolet Camaro to the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 8 at 2 p.m. Eastern live on NBC. 2018 DAYTONA 500 Champion Austin Dillon will pilot “BASSCAR” paint scheme that debuted last season.
The Camaro features a Huk exclusive “offshore” Inside Reef Fall ’23 pattern by artist KC Scott. This car is sure to stand out from the crowd on race day. The original Huk paint scheme was nicknamed “The BASSCAR” by the Richard Childress racing crew in 2022, and it returned to the track earlier this year in Nashville.
“I love that we’ve nicknamed this Chevy the BASSCAR. It fits in so well with everything that my Richard Childress Racing team and I stand for – fishing and enjoying the outdoors with our families,” said Dillon. “What started off as one cool paint scheme has turned into a staple of our season that we look forward to each season. I love that the car is reflective of some of the great apparel that Huk has available.
We’ve been putting A lot of effort into preparing for this race, and will do our best to make everyone at Huk proud on the track.”
Dillon is in his tenth season driving the No. 3 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing and has five previous starts on the Charlotte ROVAL, with a career-best 10th-place finish coming in last year’s event. Dillon can boast a win on the oval portion of the Charlotte track, having won the crown jewel Coca-Cola 600 on May 28, 2017. The Bank of America ROVAL 400 airs live on NBC on Sunday, October 8, at 2 p.m. EST.
